Cushman & Wakefield (Global Headquarters: Chicago, Illinois; Japan Headquarters: Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), a leading global real estate services firm, announced today that Seiji Sasaki has joined the firm in Tokyo as Director of Valuation & Advisory Group (V&A).
Mr. Sasaki has more than 20 years of real estate valuation-related experience. At the Japan Real Estate Institute, he handled securitized real estate valuation and developed company-wide appraisal guidelines. He was also Senior Director of the Valuation Advisory & Consulting Services Division at CBRE Japan, where he was responsible for valuation services and its management, focusing on securitized real estate for J-REITs and private funds, as well as asset valuation for enterprises and litigation. In addition, he was involved in a wide range of work including valuation of ongoing rents related to securitized real estate, as well as valuation of new areas (hospitals, self-storage, mega-solar, etc.).
A graduate from Hosei University with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mr Sasaki holds a real estate appraiser license and an ARES Master qualification by the Association for Real Estate Securitization. His credentials also include an appointment by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as a member of the examination committee for the real estate appraiser writing examinations in 2016 and 2017.As V&A Director at Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Sasaki’s responsibilities include key areas such as individual property and portfolio valuation operations, business development and talent development. He reports directly to Katsuaki Shinohara, Head of V&A.
