DHL eCommerce Vietnam: Searching For Its First Hub

01 The Challenge

American & Efird (A&E), a global textile manufacturer, approached Cushman & Wakefield for industrial and logistics services to enter the Vietnam market. They required 38,000 square meters of space for their factory in Vietnam.

02 The Solution

Cushman & Wakefield evaluated warehouses in Ho Chi Minh City, focusing on the Northwest. 

From the options, DHL shortlisted a brand-new warehouse in Tan Binh IP's prime area. It is a convenient location, only about a 30-minute drive to the Central Business District. 

After the shortlisting process, our team represented DHL in negotiations with the landlord.

03 The Results

Cushman & Wakefield's proposed warehouse met all of DHL’s requirements for its first hub in Vietnam. 

DHL received competitive rental and renewal terms from the landlord, and enjoyed lease flexibility such as early termination after three years without any penalty. 

On top of these benefits, the landlord also allowed DHL to design the driveways for vans and trucks and use the remaining spaces within the leased lot.
