The Reorganisation of Swiss Embassy Offices in Hanoi
01 The Challenge
Cushman & Wakefield Vietnam was appointed by the Swiss Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics (FOBL) to manage the overall reorganisation of the Swiss Embassy offices in Hanoi.
During the reorganisation, staff worked in temporary office spaces within the same facility, and Cushman & Wakefield had to ensure minimal disruption to the embassy’s operations whilst carrying out its work.
Due to the phasing-out of the Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation as well as the transfer of consular tasks from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, the actual office space of the Swiss Embassy in Hanoi also was reduced from 950 sqm to 560 sqm.
02 The Solution
03 The Result
We wasted no time in appointing a general contractor immediately after the design was approved by FOBL. The team ensured that the project followed legal tendering procedures and ensured that it was completed timely and within its budget.
Construction began in May 2017 and was completed in August 2017. The Swiss embassy was able to move back and resume operations without any interruptions.
