Campinas: One of the most important cities in São Paulo, Campinas is home to an excellent logistics hub. The highlight is the large number of resident technology companies and the Viracopos airport, the largest cargo in the country.
Five of the most important highways in Brazil cross Campinas and connect it with the main consumer markets. In addition to the privileged road network, the combination of road, air and rail transport makes Campinas strategic from a logistical point of view.
Extrema: The municipality of Extrema, located in the southernmost region of Minas Gerias, has become one of the main logistics hubs in Brazil in recent years, with a total inventory of over 650,000 m² and large areas still under development. The region is home to large logistics operations and online retail companies such as Mercado Livre.
Extrema is the first city in Minas Gerais along the BR 381, in the direction of São Paulo - Belo Horizonte. Until the mid-1990s, industries were attracted there due to the proximity to the city of São Paulo, with just over 100 km.
Around the year 2000, tax incentive policies, combined with the logistical facilities promoted by the works carried out on the BR 381, changed the dynamics of the region.
