There are 560 m² of lounge intervention and 63.15 m² of storage in the DB – Design and Build format, which was in partnership with Athié Wohnrath, responsible for the development, project preparation and execution of the civil work.
The project period comprised the months of June to September 2022, the pre-work and release by the GRU from August/2022 to September/2022 and the works period from September/2022 to January/2023.
The concept
The room is located in the international boarding area of Terminal 3 in Guarulhos. The space has a sustainable concept, with capacity for 113 people, 24-hour operation and has several environments such as a balcony, rest area with comfortable armchairs, focus rooms for calls or video meetings, bar integrated with the lounge, buffet area and food , kids space and family restrooms with showers.
Every detail was designed to make all environments accessible and with connectivity, which is why the room offers free and unlimited WI-FI, in addition to USB sockets always close to the seats.
With the intention of bringing a feeling of an external area, indirect lighting was used in the ceiling from tensioned screens, which when seen by customers resemble skylights.
Essential points for project success
Interface between all involved
With the aim of transmitting accurate and more agile information for decision making and solutions, it was necessary to create a communication flow between all those involved and carry out a dedicated joint management, where a member of the team remained resident on the work to quickly identify any problem. and report to the other who was remote and responsible for the managerial communication with the client.
Photo reports
Before starting the mobilization of the work, a detailed photographic report was made of any property with direct or indirect impact on the work, to protect the client from any future damage, whether positive or negative. In addition, a weekly photographic report recorded the evolution of the work.
Interested parts
Ensuring good alignment between all interested parties to understand the needs and procedures of the areas involved, mainly external organizations to align mandatory flows and procedures.
Project x Work
Ensuring the supply of samples of materials and mockups proposed in the project for client validation and formalization of decisions, working with real expectations and not based only on 3D models.
During the work, tests were required in loco to ensure that there were no changes in the finishing shades due to lighting or other factors.
