Cushman & Wakefield presents the ESG Report for its 2022 activities. Among the highlights of the publication is the fact that the company recorded a significant reduction of 51% in total greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1 and 2) per million of square feet of office space in 2022 compared to 2021.

One of the global leaders in corporate real estate services, Cushman & Wakefield presents the ESG Report for its 2022 activities. Among the highlights of the publication is the fact that the company recorded a significant 51% reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions greenhouse (scopes 1 and 2) per million square feet of office space in 2022, compared to 2021. Data refers to properties managed by the company, which aims to reduce emissions in offices and corporate operations by 50% by 2030 (based on year 2019) and achieve net-zero emissions across the entire value chain, including customers and partners, by 2050.

Globally, Cushman & Wakefield manages and provides sustainability services for more than 38 thousand buildings and around 860 million m2 of corporate space, which highlights the importance of involving clients and partners in impact mitigation goals and actions environmental. One thing to highlight is that renewable energy already represents 48% of all electricity sources in its operations.

Among the actions carried out in Brazil that were highlighted in the company's global report is an energy saving project. In 2022, the engineering and quality team mapped buildings that are large consumers of electricity in different Brazilian states and identified opportunities to leverage renewable energy sources (wind, solar and small hydroelectric plants) and ways to reduce energy consumption and costs . The ongoing projects approved by the property owners already represent savings of approximately 2,100 MWh/year and a reduction in electricity bills of approximately US$2,800,000/year in the 10 buildings mapped.

Gender Equity - Cushman & Wakefield continues to work to advance gender equity. As a result, the percentage of women in executive positions globally jumped from 22% in 2021 to 41% in 2022, while the percentage on the Board of Directors rose from 41% to 44% between 2021 and 2022.
