Fab India is an Indian chain store retailing garments, furnishings, fabrics and ethnic products handmade by craftspeople across rural India. Established in 1960, Fab India started exporting home furnishings, before stepping into domestic retail in 1976, when it opened its first retail store in New Delhi. As of July 2020, Fab India operated 327 stores across India and 14 international stores.

Cushman & Wakefield concluded a 6,400 SF transaction of the most prestigious “Experience centres” for Fab India at MG Road, Pondicherry. By the time documentation came to closure, COVID-19 induced lockdowns put the expansion plans and ongoing deals for the retail sector on hold.
Cushman & Wakefield’s retail team facilitated a renegotiation & finalized the deal structure, which was a ‘win-win’ for both the landlord and the brand. The store is now open for business.
