Continuing our webinar series around What’s Next for Data Centres Across Asia Pacific External Link, the dramatic acceleration of global data centres markets has raised concerns around the impact the sector has on the environment. With the extremely high consumption of power by data centres and the significant carbon footprint the sector generates, there is a need to strengthen sector-wide standards and commitments for the sustainable data centre operations.

In this two-part series, Todd Olson, Managing Director, North Asia & Head of Asia Pacific Data Centres Practice Group and Kevin Imboden, Senior Research Manager, Data Centre Insights, were joined by subject matter experts and global data centre players who have been proactively addressing the sustainability agenda in their data centre advisory, operations and investments.

In a follow- up report, we showcase the insights shared by our speakers around taking a holistic view of emissions and other imperatives for data centre sustainability, including current and future pathways to the greening of the sector.
