LF Nara" won a special award in the new construction category of the 26th Good Painting Color, an environmental color competition sponsored by the Japan Paint Manufacturers Association (JPCA). The following is the evaluation for the award:
The facade has a large opening to let in light with views of the surrounding area. The neatly designed L-shaped openings and horizontal rows of windows are accented with dark blue as the key color of the "LF" series, in order to create a distinctive appearance of the building. The exterior walls of the warehouse are designed to blend in with the neighborhood environment by using a gradation of bright colors from the ground to the sky in a pattern that reflects its surroundings. This harmonizes with the rich natural environment of the town of Ando-cho, located in the ancient capital Nara.
