6 Feet retail

While countries around the world are at different stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of maintaining a safe distance from one another is being recognized worldwide. In the Netherlands one-and-a-half-meters, internationally mostly 6 feet. The first ideas around what a one-and-a-half-meter society will look like are carefully being shaped. In the Netherlands we are preparing ourselves for the one-and-a-half-meter economy.

At Cushman & Wakefield we understand how important it is for everyone - consumers and staff - to feel welcome again in a shopping area. And that we show that shopping areas are taking the necessary steps to visibly apply the one-and-a-half-meter measure in the public area.

As part of the 6 Feet Retail concept we have also applied the Responsible Shopping Directives  to the public area.

With two test setups of 6 Feet Retail in shopping centers in Hilversum and Rotterdam, a good first step has been taken towards a safe and responsible shopping experience. Our Retail specialists in the field of asset services, facility management, Project & Development, Strategy Data Consulting and Retail Agency continue to develop the concept and work closely together with external experts in the field of air treatment and traffic sociology.

By using the 6 Feet Retail concept we prepare ourselves for safe shopping while maintaining the one-and-a-half-meter measure for staff, consumers and society. We are here to help apply this measure in our society.
