The Stromovka with a total leasable area of 15,700 sq m is the only shopping centre to open in the Czech Republic this year. Its retail offering caters primarily to the needs of young people and young families living in its vicinity in Prague 7. In addition to convenience stores, the centre houses the first Lidl supermarket opened in a shopping centre, a classic food court with a food pop-up market, fitness and wellness facilities, a lot of space for mums with children and 500 parking spaces, so sorely lacking in Letná. Aside from 90 retail units, the Stromovka also houses 5,500 sq m of class A office space.
Stromovka Centre – innovative retail space
Unlike other centres, the Stromovka Centre’s retail concept focuses on the food & beverage segment, entertainment and services for customers primarily from Prague 7.
This is why the centre includes a standard food court as well as a food & beverage pop-up zone named PARKet. The concept will include Teayo, the first tea mixology store in the Czech Republic, Cheese N’ Boat Georgian bistro, Rybistro fresh fish shop, a central drinks bar, a HF Pastry Academy sweet shop offering select sweets and Roots BBQ making meat specialities and oak wood smoked burgers. The centre of the PARKet will be a bar situated around a full-grown tree and offering the scheme’s very own Letenský Lager draught beer.
The Stromovka will also house a Lidl supermarket, which will be the company’s first supermarket to open within a shopping centre.
“The Stromovka wants to be a community centre and a place for neighbours to meet,” explains Anna Pucová of Cushman & Wakefield, Stromovka Centre’s marketing manager.
The premises will include a 200 sq m indoor children’s corner offering programmes all day long, including art workshops every day from 9 am to 8 pm. A Fitinn fitness studio with an area exceeding 1,000 sq m will open for sportspeople. A sauna world is also in the works.
Stromovka Centre – modern offices and a new indoor car park
“The building’s third and fourth floors feature 5,500 sq m of modern office space with generous rooftop terraces, a dedicated entrance and a reception desk,” explains Marek Dörfl of Cushman & Wakefield, Stromovka Centrum manager.
The centre will also offer an underground car park with a capacity of 500 parking spaces, up to 150 of which will be offered to Prague 7 citizens for lease at a discounted rate to park their cars during the night. Other amenities will include a car wash, a PRE Point electric vehicle recharging station and electric bike charging stations.
Stromovka Centre and public transport
As a result of cooperation with the Prague Public Transit Company, bus line no. 156 will serve the centre using a bus stop located in Strojnická street. The bus line will start operating on the opening day of the centre, 21 November. Stromovka Centre is located within walking distance from the Veletržní palác and Kamenická tram stop, the Vltavská Metro C line station and the Stromovka and Letenské sady parks.
