Desenio Group, a leading European wall art provider, leased nearly 18.5 thousand square metres of industrial-logistics space in CTPark Bor. The premises will serve as the Swedish company’s distribution centre for European markets outside the Nordic region. The transaction was assisted by Cushman & Wakefield.
Desenio Group is a Swedish, fast growing digital direct-to consumer company with a leading position as an online based provider of affordable wall art in Europe. To support its European operations outside the Nordic region, a distribution centre was opened in CTPark Bor in Western Bohemia, Czech Republic.
For the distribution centre, several locations were considered in various European countries. With the assistance of Cushman & Wakefield’s Industrial Agency team, CTPark Bor close to the German border was selected as the best option.
“With our new logistics center, we get closer to most of our European customers outside the Nordic region, which results in shorter lead times and less environmental impact. As a consequence, we also reduce our logistics costs,” says Jimmie Grönlund, Head of Fulfillment of Desenio Group.
The premises are entirely newly built and the technology is designed to ensure an efficient, scalable process and fast delivery times.
Cushman & Wakefield provided a comprehensive package of advisory services, ranging from industrial development tender and leasing advisory, to project management including controlling of the construction, to designing the integrated offices, to logistics advisory involving the warehouse’s technical design and the tender for a whole range of warehouse equipment.
“Coordinating such an extensive project during the covid limitations, which included remote negotiations conducted online or numerous quarantines accompanying the travels, was a truly challenging task. We’re glad we succeeded in securing these state-of-the art and ideally located premises for Desenio Group, a significant e-commerce player on the European market,” said Vít Zdráhal, Partner, Head of Landlord and Tenant Representation in the industrial team at Cushman & Wakefield, who assisted in the transaction together with a team of specialized consultants across the firm.
CTPark Bor is one of CEE’s most successful business parks, strategically located in Western Bohemia, 50 km from Plzeň’s city centre, with excellent highway connectivity and only 15 km from the German border. The routes and important trade paths lead through not only Germany, but even further, to Italy. It is an ideal location for logistics providers in e-commerce serving the Czech, German and other European markets.
“We are proud that out of many options, Desenio chose our park. CTPark Bor is one of the most successful business parks in Central and Eastern Europe not only because of its excellent strategic location, but also thanks to its highly modern facilities that are adapted to the needs of our tenants. In cooperation with Cushman & Wakefield, we have brought the Desenio Group even closer to their customers and supported its pan-European expansion.” says Jakub Kodr, Head of Business Development, CTP Czech Republic.
Next to Desenio Group, who opened their new logistics centre on 5 May 2022, other significant tenants at CTPark Bor include Loxxess, Fiege, or Primark.
