With the move to the new office in Budapester Strasse, the real estate consultancy is continuing its growth in one of the most important markets. C & W has a total of 2,300 sqm of office space on two floors to accommodate this. By way of comparison, the two previous offices together provided around 1,500 sqm. All areas of C & W in Berlin will benefit from the additional office space.
The Westlight building offers employees a modern working environment and an interior design that is in keeping with the location close to the zoo. The areas were planned by the real estate experts themselves to 6 Feet Office specifications - C & W’s office concept designed to provide a safe environment during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Thus the new location is also a showroom for central services from the Project & Development Services division: Workplace Strategy and Design & Build. The number of employees in this department has tripled in the past three years, making it one of the fastest-growing areas at C & W. With the new location, the real estate service provider is providing answers to both the current pandemic and how the office of the future will look.
The premises on two interconnected floors promote flexible working and are tailored to the activities and workflows of the real estate professional. Retreat zones, meeting areas with walls that can be used as whiteboards and lounge areas with sofas, table-football and kitchenettes promote employees’ workplace creativity and wellbeing. Distancing rules, one-way circulation and behaviour guidelines based on a minimum separation of 1.5 to 2 metres ensure a safe working environment during the corona crisis.
Yvo Postleb, Head of Cushman & Wakefield Germany: "With today's move we have reached another milestone. Our new location sets the trend for the office concepts of tomorrow, providing inspiration and setting a new paradigm, not only for our employees, but also for our clients - especially in the current situation in which many are having to rethink the role of the office".
Frank D. Masuhr, Head of Project & Development Services, Cushman & Wakefield DACH Region: "With the new location, we have been able to realize a space concept that is exemplary for individually tailored office design which also incorporates the requirements of the employees.
