The Hamburg investment team of international real estate consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has exclusively advised Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield on the sale of one of three residential buildings to be developed in Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier in Hamburg's HafenCity. The buyer is a joint venture by Garbe Immobilien-Projekte & TERRAGON.
The plan is to establish a multifunctional senior living concept above the retail space of the building in the northern section of the mixed-use complex. According to the current planning status, 186 senior apartments in the premium segment will be built, with a gross floor area of 20,400 square metres. The apartments will be located on the 2nd to 7th floors of the building and will range in size from 40 square metres to 180 square metres. In addition, a spa and fitness area, a studio, a restaurant and integrated community spaces are planned in the property. There will be approximately 100 residents’ parking spaces in the basement. The property is major component of the Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier development project, which is designed as an integrated district and central building block of Hamburg's HafenCity.
