Cushman & Wakefield strengthens Logistics & Industrial Services Germany

Verena Bauer • 04/01/2022

International real estate consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) is vigorously implementing the recently announced expansion of its newly-founded Logistics & Industrial Services Germany division. The team has now been further strengthened with the addition of Arnd Sternberg as Head of Logistics & Industrial Agency Germany & Services Region West and Britt Habermann as Head of Logistics & Industrial Services Region East, both under the leadership of Steven Siebert.

Arnd Sternberg has been working in the real estate industry for over 20 years, latterly as Senior Team Leader Düsseldorf at JLL. The graduate civil engineer has excellent market knowledge and, based in Düsseldorf, in addition to his role as Team Leader in the Western region, will also focus on building up a letting team for the whole of Germany.

Britt Habermann has around 30 years of experience in the real estate industry and is optimally networked in the Berlin region and in the eastern federal states. Before joining C&W, Habermann was a senior executive at CBRE and previously led the Berlin industrial agency team at JLL for many years. From the capital, she will now lead a team of five at C&W and advise on the purchase, sale and letting of logistics and industrial properties.

Steven Siebert, Head of Logistics & Industrial Services Germany: "In Arnd Sternberg and Britt Habermann, we have gained two experienced logistics experts whose experience will benefit our team and, above all, our clients. Enabling us to work even closer with them in the future and develop optimal strategies for their logistics and industrial properties."

The Germany-wide expansion of the teams at all locations is progressing well; more than ten posts have already been filled. Berlin and Düsseldorf are particularly well-positioned in terms of numbers. With the move from Frankfurt to Hamburg by Marie Stammer from within our own ranks, to focus on acquisitions and sales there, the starting signal has also been given for the Northern Germany area. Building up the team in Munich will follow in the course of the year.

"With the expansion of our logistics team, we are right on track and continue to pursue our growth strategy in this segment. This also includes increasing our local presence - and that’s just what we’re doing," added Alexander Kropf, Head of Capital Markets Germany.
In the USA, C&W is the leading real estate consultancy firm in the industrial and logistics segment. The company is also successfully positioned in Eastern Europe, and market leader in this segment in the Netherlands. With the establishment of the German team in October 2021 following implementation of these services in the UK and France, C&W completes its EMEA growth agenda in this sector.
