Heiko Himme becomes branch manager of Cushman & Wakefield in Berlin

Verena Bauer • 16/08/2022

Heiko Himme is returning to Cushman & Wakefield to head the Berlin office of the international real estate firm. The 46-year-old was previously with C&W from 2006 to 2018, most recently as Head of Office Agency Germany and Branch Manager in the German capital. He takes over his duties from Alexander Kropf, who will again concentrate exclusively on his role as head of the investment team. The Berlin branch of C&W has around 130 employees.

As branch manager, Heiko will strengthen C&W’s presence in the Berlin market, intensify the dovetailing of the individual services and act as a further central contact for clients. He has already been working as an external consultant for C&W since the beginning of last year, preparing the market launch of the white label flex space solution INDEGO. In addition to his role as branch manager, he will continue to drive this project forward in Germany.

"I am looking forward to the new challenges and the dedicated team in the German capital - my home market and the largest real estate market in Germany. I am also very confident that with INDEGO we will bring a successful business model to the market. The feedback from our clients has been clearly positive and we are already in negotiations to implement the first projects," said Heiko Himme.

The long-time Berliner has been active in the real estate industry for more than 25 years. Before re-joining C&W, he was Head of Real Estate Northern Europe, CEE and Russia at WeWork, where he built up and managed a real estate team. Heiko holds a degree in Business Administration/Real Estate Management from Berlin University of Applied Sciences.

"In Heiko Himme, we are not only regaining a long-time companion, but also a true market heavyweight who knows Berlin’s real estate market extremely well and has been involved in many significant transactions in recent years. With him, we will leverage decisive market potential at our second-largest German location," enthused Yvo Postleb.
