Tobias Scharf becomes Hamburg branch manager

Verena Bauer • 21/12/2022

Tobias Scharf will take over the management of the Hamburg office on 1 January 2023. He succeeds Marc Rohrer, who will leave the company on 30 June 2023. Until his departure, Mark Rohrer will remain Head of Capital Markets Hamburg and support Tobias Scharf in his duties as Branch Manager.

In addition to his new role, Tobias Scharf will continue to hold the position of Head of Office Agency Hamburg. The 39-year-old will continue to report to Christian Lanfer, Head of Office Agency Germany.

"Tobias Scharf will further strengthen our presence on the Hamburg market. In the future, he will intensify the cross-selling between our individual services and act as a central contact for clients. I would like to thank Marc Rohrer for his able work so far and wish him continued success with his new career plans," commented Yvo Postleb, Head of Germany at C&W, on C&W's new staffing in Hamburg.

Tobias Scharf is a proven expert regarding the real estate market in Hamburg and has been active in the Northern Germany’s real estate  sector for more than 15 years. Before joining C&W three years ago, the business administration graduate was National Director and Senior Team Leader of JLL's Hamburg office letting team. Other stations in his career included PNB Paribas and Engel & Völkers.

His first tasks as Branch Manager include the organisation and coordination of the relocation of C&W's Hamburg team to "TRIIIO Hamburg". Here, the company has leased just under 700 square metres of office space on the 9th floor from spring 2023. The move is necessary because the headcount of C&W's Hamburg team has doubled to around 40 in the past five years. The company is already using interim space in the property.

After moving into the new offices, C&W’s Hamburg team will have considerably more space than previously. The modern workplaces follow the high quality standards that C&W's interior design team has already successfully implemented in the past in the redevelopment and design of the company's Berlin and Düsseldorf offices as part of its New Work concept.
