Cushman & Wakefield appoints Dr. Michael Thiele as Head of Client Management and Lutz Schilbach as Head of Multi Service Solutions

Verena Bauer • 02/07/2024

Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world's largest real estate consultancies, has restructured its business development activities in Germany as part of the company's repositioning. To this end, Dr Michael Thiele has been appointed Head of Client Management in addition to his role in Global Occupier Services. Lutz Schilbach has also been appointed Head of Multi Service Solutions Germany. Both positions were newly created in order to place customers and their needs even more firmly at the centre of the company.

Dr Michael Thiele holds a doctorate in law, has worked in the real estate sector for more than 30 years and has been with Cushman & Wakefield since 2006. In his expanded new role as Head of Client Management, he will be responsible for establishing, expanding and maintaining client relationships with a focus on Germany. In addition, he will continue to develop and implement property strategies for multinational companies with his team of more than twenty people in his role for Global Occupier Services. By expanding Dr Michael Thiele's area of responsibility, Cushman & Wakefield has succeeded in effectively reducing the number of interfaces. In his new role, he will be able to optimally combine the knowledge from the GOS (Global Occupier Services) user world with the investor side in the interests of the client, which will significantly improve the advice on both sides. In the Client Management division, Dr Michael Thiele will in future be supported by Daniel Winter, who previously prepared portfolio analyses for European clients of Cushman & Wakefield.

Lutz Schilbach holds a degree in architecture and has more than 25 years of professional experience. He has headed the Design + Build DACH division within the Project & Development Services (PDS) service line at Cushman & Wakefield since 2021. In his new position as Head of Multi Service Solutions, in which he is responsible for the optimal coordination of the six service lines offered by the company in terms of comprehensive customer support, he will remain in the Project and Development Services division as Head of Sales.

Tina Reuter, Head of Germany, comments: "With their new roles, Dr Michael Thiele and Lutz Schilbach are taking on key positions in the further optimisation of our services. Both are extremely experienced and well-connected and will place the customer at the centre of our activities in a service-wide manner."

Dr Michael Thiele and Lutz Schilbach will report directly to Tina Reuter.
