Office Capital Markets team in Hamburg gets off to a new start

Verena Bauer • 15/04/2025

Marc Bensemann and Robert Köwener will join Cushman & Wakefield from May 2025. They will initiate and drive forward the reorganisation of the Office Capital Markets team in Hamburg. As Partner, Bensemann will take over the management of the team as Head of Office Capital Markets, while Köwener will hold the position of Director Office Capital Markets.

Marc Bensemann, MRICS, business graduate and graduate property economist (ADI), previously built up the investment business of Engel & Völkers Commercial in Saxony / Saxony-Anhalt since spring 2017 and previously worked in the Corporate & Transaction division at Cushman & Wakefield in Hamburg for around 11 years. Robert Köwener has been with the commercial investment division at Großmann & Berger since 2023. Prior to that, the economic geographer and graduate real estate economist (ADI) held various positions at Colliers Hamburg from 2015 to 2022 - mainly in the Capital Markets division and in nationally organised trans-action and best practice teams.
Simon Jeschioro, Head of Capital Markets & Investment Advisory Germany, comments: ‘We are convinced that we are launching our new office capital markets team in Hamburg at just the right time. The turna-round on the investment market was already evident last year in the increase in transaction volume, although this was still well below the long-term average. We anticipate a further increase in volumes and more transac-tions based on stable yields, which indicate that pricing is now largely complete.’ Jeschioro continues: ‘We are also very pleased to welcome Marc Bensemann and Robert Köwener back to Cushman & Wakefield. Both have more than 35 years of combined professional experience in the property industry and their professional background and market knowledge fit exactly the profile we were looking for to further expand our business in Hamburg. Both have known each other for many years and harmonise both professionally and personally - ideal prerequisites for the successful development of the team.’
