Leib, who will be based in Amsterdam, brings considerable specialist experience and connections to the firm’s EMEA Hospitality team. He was previously Acquisitions Director for Amsterdam-based Sircle Collection (owner of the Sir, Max Brown and Park Centraal brands), for whom he secured deals for new hotels domestically within The Netherlands and in markets as diverse as Barcelona, Vienna, Lisbon, Milan and Ibiza.
Prior to that, Leib spent eight years in Savills’ Netherlands capital markets team giving him a strong knowledge of the local brokerage, real estate and hotelier community. He holds an MBA in International Hospitality Management.
Ed Fitch, Partner, EMEA Hospitality Capital Markets, said: “We are tremendously excited that Dennis, with his vast experience of hotel transactions and development, is joining us to spearhead our continued growth in the Benelux region. As demand drivers improve, international capital is increasingly drawn to the Benelux markets and we expect both liquidity and prices to increase in the medium term and we consider it a huge advantage for our clients to have someone of Dennis’ experience based locally.”
Jon Hubbard, Head of Hospitality EMEA, added: “I am delighted to welcome Dennis to the team, which again highlights our commitment to serve our clients in the hospitality sector. Dennis will work with Ed Fitch to build our business in the Benelux region, where Cushman & Wakefield already enjoys a market-leading position in real estate capital markets. The addition of an Amsterdam-based team follows on from establishment of dedicated Hospitality teams in Spain, France and Germany in recent years as we continue our exciting growth.”
Cushman & Wakefield provides a full suite of services to investors, developers and operators of hotels, hostels and extended stay accommodation. This includes capital markets, valuation, buy-side advice, debt, strategic advisory as well as development and operator selection.
