In the 2023 autumn edition of Cushman & Wakefield Office Snapshot Sweden, we present up-to-date figures for both metropolitan as well as regional office markets in Sweden. Amidst low activity on the transaction market with only a few office property deals, we assess how equity markets are pricing the listed companies in the office segment and put the implied market values into perspective.
Conditions in the Swedish real estate market have remained challenging in 2023, as monetary policy has continued to tighten and economic growth falling into recessionary territory. Rising interest rates and weaker financial figures have caused many companies to focus on strengthening their balance sheets, the sector currently being in a deleveraging process with fewer companies interested in acquiring additional assets.
