Michael Parsons Joins Cushman & Wakefield to Lead Dispute Analysis & Litigation Support Practice Across Canada

DALS Practice Adds New Service Offering for Cushman & Wakefield’s Canada Valuation & Advisory Group

TORONTO, January 10, 2022 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Michael Parsons, MBA, AACI, P.App, has joined the firm to lead its Dispute Analysis & Litigation Support (DALS) practice in Canada, which combines due diligence, finance and real estate expertise in providing comprehensive support in dispute and litigation matters involving commercial real estate.  

Michael Parsons (image)As Senior Vice President and Canada Practice Lead, Parsons will lead and grow the DALS Practice in Canada, serving existing Cushman & Wakefield clients and introducing new clients to the firm. In addition, Parsons and the team will coordinate with U.S. DALS professionals to cultivate cross-border capabilities to better serve clients. He will work closely with Brian Kriter, Executive Managing Director, who leads Cushman & Wakefield Canada’s Valuation & Advisory (V&A) efforts nationally.

Parsons has 15 years of experience providing litigation support and expert witness testimony for commercial litigation, rent arbitration, shareholder disputes, matrimonial disputes, expropriation, professional liability and more. He has prepared appraisals and technical reviews and provided consulting on a wide array of real estate and related matters on behalf of legal counsel, developers, investors, private and public entities, financial institutions and government agencies for all property types.  

Additionally, Parsons is an Accredited Appraiser (AACI) with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, a Professional Land Economist (PLE), a member of the Ontario Expropriation Association and a member of the Urban Land Institute. He earned his MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management; a Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE) from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business; and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies, Honours Urban and Regional Planning, from the University of Waterloo School of Planning.
