She will work with both the regional practice group and the various teams across the Japanese business to develop and deliver optimal ESG solutions to clients, leveraging Cushman & Wakefield's global platform and competitive advantage.

Todd Olson, Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield Japan, said, "We are very pleased to have Midori, who has a wealth of experience in the commercial real estate sector, join us as a dedicated sustainability and ESG professional. Real estate is a key component of social infrastructure, and we are now at a turning point where we need to reevaluate its environmental performance, contribution to society, and the way it should be used. There is an urgent need to prioritize and embed ESG practices, which goes beyond efficiency and profitability of real estate. We recognize the importance of ESG and will continue to strive to provide the best ESG solutions and insights to better serve the needs of our clients, our business and the industry.”

Midori has over 20 years of real estate experience, with specific expertise in property and asset management as well as investment advisory services. She previously worked at Tosei Asset Advisors, where she was in-charge of the offshore investor desk and responsible for business promotion. Prior to that, Midori led the investor relations function at SG Holdings (the holding company of Sagawa Express G) and was country manager at GIC Real Estate (the Government of Singapore’s real estate investment arm). She has also served as an Executive Officer at JLL, where she was Regional Director/Client Services Head for Asia, and as an Adjunct Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Midori is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Real Estate and the Tokyo Institute of Technology's Department of Architecture.
