TOKYO, January 16, 2023 –Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK), a leading global real estate services firm, announced today that Cushman & Wakefield Asset Management K.K., has acquired, through the Kazo Facility Special Purpose Company, a development site for a logistics facility in Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The logistics facility, which will consist of approx. 27,000 square meters is scheduled for completion in May 2024.

Located approximately 5.1 km from the Hanyu Interchange and 5.8 km from the Kazo Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway, the development site is well-connected to the entire Tokyo metropolitan area, making it a convenient transportation base for wide-area distribution. It is also within close proximity to the Kazo Otone Industrial Park.
Features of the Facility
LF Kazo will be constructed as a two-storey logistics facility. It will have a pillar span of 11 m (frontage) x 10.5 m (depth), an effective height of 5.5 m under the warehouse beams, floor loading capacity of 1.5 t/sqm and will be equipped with four cargo elevators and vertical conveyors. The tenant block can be leased both as a single-tenant building or divided into two tenant spaces. There are plans to provide about 100 parking spaces and over 10 waiting spaces for large vehicles. The facility will accommodate air conditioning needs throughout the warehouse and enable 24-hour operations.
Focus on Sustainability
The facility aims to achieve CASBEE (Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency) A-Rank certification for embodiment of sustainability. It will also provide power receiving and transformer installations to support business continuity needs.
