Designing and building their own office suite
01:
The Opportunity
We have already built several hospitality venues for HMSHost at Schiphol Airport. It is a real honour, then, to have been chosen to design and build their own office suite in the Skyport building at Schiphol!
02:
The solution
We started the process by holding an Architect’s Café – our look & feel workshop – and it quickly became clear that the new working environment had to radiate ‘hospitality’. After all, that is their core business.
03:
The Result
We incorporated this into our proposed office concept: an open-plan, well-lighted space suitable for flexible use. There are sit-stand workstations, there is room for relaxation and we have incorpora-ted many elements of biophilic design through the use of numerous plants, colours and natural mate-rials.
And, last but not least, HMSHost’s hospitality con-cepts have been showcased throughout the design. One of the meeting rooms, for example, is based on ‘Two Tigers’, their sushi and noodles concept.
