Scan to Plant: Cushman & Wakefield replaces printed brochures for trees

05/06/2021

Cushman & Wakefield Portugal launched a green initiative to reduce paper consumption and at the same time plant trees in Portugal.

The initiative "Scan to Plant" has the main goal of eliminate all the printed brochures from the Portugal offices, through a QR code system. Each client that visits our offices, and wants to access a brochure just have to scan the QR code in our reception kiosk. For each 10 scans Cushman & Wakefield will plant a tree until the end of the year.

Eric van Leuven, Head of Portugal, comments, "We would like to continue keeping our clients informed and updated with our latest insights, but we also know the strong environmental impact the production of printed publications have and aimed to mitigate it. With the quick development of QR codes and their massive use, we stopped printing brochures and created a digital kiosk where everyone can scan and download all our local an international publications with the commitment of planting trees on top of it. We hope we can plant a lot of trees this year!"
