Cushman & Wakefield, the leading global real estate consultant, announces the acquisition of a land plot with building rights near the Campo Grande transportation hub in Campo Grande (Lisbon), on behalf of Atenor.
The plot, with an area of 8,373 m2, allows for the construction of circa 14,000 sqm of offices, 450 sqm of retail plus parking. Very close to the Alvalade XXI stadium (the grounds of Sporting Lisbon football club) and to the Campo Grande university campus, the plot is served by excellent accessibilities and is part of a thriving area of Lisbon.
In this transaction, Cushman & Wakefield introduced the opportunity to, and acted on behalf of Atenor, a renowned Belgian developer. Listed on Euronext Brussels, this company is now active in multiple European countries and is already developing another landmark project in Portugal - WellBe, in Parque das Nações (also being leased by Cushman & Wakefield). Innovation, quality and sustainability are at the heart of all of Atenor’s developments.
According to Paulo Sarmento, Partner and Head of Transactional Services of Cushman & Wakefield Portugal, “We are very proud to have worked alongside Atenor in the acquisition of this significant opportunity to develop state-of-the-art offices in Lisbon. Despite the challenging international context, the Portuguese offices occupation and investment markets are proving to be very resilient. Developers like Atenor stand for quality, durability and sustainability – and the main beneficiaries will not only be the future occupiers, but the city of Lisbon itself.”
