Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord in this transaction.
Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) announces that Ementa has opened it’s first shop in Porto, the first in the region, specifically at Rua de Sá da Bandeira, No. 120. The store was inaugurated on the 10 of August.
Ementa is a Portuguese streetwear brand founded by a group of friends passionate about skateboarding. The brand stands out for its creative design, quality pieces, and its connection to the world of skateboarding and art. Its offerings include products made in Portugal, ranging from casual clothing to accessories such as caps, backpacks, skateboards, and even jewellery.
Susana Pires, Retail Consultant at Cushman & Wakefield, comments: “This new opening reinforces the growing dynamism and attractiveness of high street retail in the city of Porto. On the other hand, the investment in innovative and differentiated concepts represents an important contribution to the diversity and enhancement of retail offerings in the city centre, which, although boosted by tourism, is increasingly attracting locals.”
Guilherme Durand, Ementa’s marketing manager, states: “Ementa has been growing over the past few years, focusing on quality and authenticity. For us, it is essential to be represented in the two main cities of the country, and after the notoriety achieved in Lisbon, we immediately started looking for a strategic and central location in Porto. That’s what we found. The opening of the first store in Porto represents not only an opportunity to strengthen our notoriety in the Porto and Northern markets but also to introduce ourselves to the international market through visibility to tourists visiting the city. We believe that the best way to reinforce the brand’s notoriety and concept is through this physical space, which will allow us to share Ementa’s motto and lifestyle with our customers”.
Ementa opened its first store in 2022 at Lx Factory in Lisbon and currently has four more stores in the capital: two at Lx Factory, one in Chiado, and one in Cais do Sodré. With the opening in Porto, the brand now has five stores in Portugal.
