ORKLA

The Nordic company ORKLA was on a mission to relocate their old offices to upgraded A-level spaces in Slovakia's Pezinok. Their core objective was to give their offices a modern makeover, aligning them with the global ORKLA brand's high standards. Our primary focus was creating a contemporary, dynamic office space that reflects the Nordic culture and its renowned "hygge" style. Throughout the project, our development team consistently aimed to provide an environment where relaxation and comfort go hand in hand. The office revamp included setting up open office zones to encourage collaboration among coworkers. Although the idea of an open space raised initial concerns for the client, it turned out to be a highly successful decision. A significant part of our role involved designing an open kitchen to facilitate product testing, a pivotal aspect of the client's operations.  

This project encompassed multiple space planning adjustments. In the final stages, we successfully developed an open office layout that deviates from the conventional open concept. Leveraging the expansive non-standard 2000mm corridor, each individual enjoys both privacy and the opportunity for collaborative interactions as needed. Throughout the renovation, our Project Development team employed the brand's colors to enrich the office environment's working culture. Our team consistently prioritizes client communication and the delivery of services at the utmost standards. In this instance, our approach was no exception, as we engaged in collaborative decision-making with the client regarding furniture selection and placement. Despite budget limitations, we managed to curate contemporary furniture that aligned seamlessly with the client's vision. A notable feature of this project was the establishment of a comforting house-shaped leisure area, imbued with the essence of "hygge," where individuals can unwind and savor their coffee. This element of the office harmoniously blends with the Nordic design aesthetic.  

ORKLA smoothly moved into its new premises as scheduled. Cushman & Wakefield played a crucial role in project management, attentively considering ORKLA's unique requirements and steering the decision-making process. We found great satisfaction in this collaboration and are proud of our achievements. Despite budget limitations, we successfully designed modern Nordic-style open office spaces that fully realize the client's vision.
