About
As Chief Executive, APAC & EMEA, Matthew is responsible for leading 17,000 employees operating across 160 offices and 53 countries.
Over his 25+ years of experience, Matthew has had a passion for building successful and sustainable companies and cultures. He has held C-suite and senior leadership positions in a variety of industries, including real estate, financial services, professional services, engineering, construction and mining services, and working for large global and multinational firms, such as PwC, Aviva, Orica, Leighton, UGL and DTZ. Matthew began his career in Australia and has since lived and worked in cities around the world, including Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Sydney, Chicago and now London.
Prior to his role as Chief Executive, APAC & EMEA, Matthew led and successfully grew the APAC region as Chief Executive, Asia Pacific. During his 13 years with Cushman & Wakefield, Matthew has also held global executive positions, including Global Chief Administrative Officer and Global Chief HR & Strategy Officer. In these roles, he was intimately involved in the merger of our legacy firms in 2014-15, as well as the process to acquire DTZ back in 2011. As such, he holds a strong understanding of both our EMEA and Americas businesses.
Matthew has a strong bias for action, accelerating growth, developing talent and building high-performing teams. His areas of specialization also include strategy, mergers and acquisitions, large-scale integrations and Salesforce effectiveness.
