As Chief Executive, Asia Pacific, Matthew is responsible for leading 11,000 employees located in 60 offices across 14 countries.
Matthew brings over 25 years’ experience from a variety of industries including real estate, financial services, professional services, engineering, construction, and mining services, working for large global and multinational firms such as PwC, Aviva, Orica, Leighton, UGL and DTZ. An Australian, Matthew has worked in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, London, Melbourne, Sydney, and Chicago over the course of his career.
Prior to his role as Asia Pacific Chief Executive, Matthew served as Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing the Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, and Research functions. He previously served as Global Chief HR & Strategy Officer at DTZ, where he oversaw the firm’s Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Human Resources, and Research functions globally. Prior to DTZ, he was Group Executive, HR & Corporate Services for UGL Limited, where he was responsible for the firm’s Human Resources, Sustainability, Safety, Procurement and Corporate Real Estate functions across their global business.
Within Cushman & Wakefield, Matthew’s areas of specialization include strategy, mergers and acquisitions, large-scale integrations, turning underperforming businesses, talent management and building high performing teams.
