Novum Presov Shopping Centre Opens

02/10/2020
In October, Novum shopping centre will open for the first time. It will gradually bring to the heart of Prešov brands missing in eastern Slovakia to date.

The Novum shopping centre, developed on the edge of the historic centre of Prešov, will open on October 8. "With a number of great brands, we bring world quality to Prešov. For some of them, it will even be a premiere in eastern Slovakia, "said Zuzana Maliková, director of the Novum Prešov shopping centre.

"The opening date - autumn 2020 - was set long before life in Slovakia began to be complicated by a pandemic. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, finalising the retail tenants also slowed down. Despite the difficult situation, we are very happy that we can keep the promise we made to the people of Prešov and open a shopping centre for them at the beginning of October. It will be a phased opening during October, November and Spring 2021, by which time more than 111 tenants in the shopping center should be fully operational.” Said a representative of Gemo Holding, Ing. Libor Tandler.

Lidl's latest concept

From October 8, Prešov residents will have the opportunity to shop at the state-of-the-art Lidl store, which will be the first of its kind in Slovakia. From the first day in the heart of Prešov, in addition to Lidl, DM Drogerie Markt and Datart will also open, as well as world brands such as New Yorker, H&M, Humanic, Intersport and A3 SPORT sports stores and, for example, the Martinus bookstore. Banks, mobile operators and pharmacies are also planned. Fans of fast food in the centre of the third largest Slovak city will enjoy McDonald's. In addition, there will be gastronomic establishments such as the Pilsnerka restaurant, MrKebab and several cafes.

Fun in the heart of Saris

Novum Prešov will not only be about quality shopping. It is definitely worth planning your free time here. This year, eight Cinemax cinemas will bring quality entertainment to the people of Prešov. The shopping centre will also include the Fit Up Fitness Center, open from early in the morning until late in the evening.

Mango arrives in November

Mango will present its winter collection in the Novum shopping centre. As the only store in the East of Slovakia, it will attract many customers from Prešov as well as from further afield. In the November opening phase, the F&B offer will be significantly expanded and technology fans will certainly enjoy the Xiaomi store.

The first Starbucks in the East

Starbucks will make its eastern Slovakia debut in the Novum Prešov shopping centre. Together with the popular Bershka fashion store, they will be the final openings in spring 2021 and Novum - the new heart of Šariš - will be fully open.
