Austin Mandell joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2017 and is currently a Senior Analyst on the New York City Office Research Leasing team. In his current role, he produces market reports, evaluates real estate trends, supports various landlord and client initiatives, and helps create unique market intelligence via the production of business intelligence (BI) dashboards. Since joining the firm, Austin has generated robust internal and client-driven deliverables, providing analytical support and insight for more than 22.0 million square feet of real estate.
In 2018, Austin helped development the Outer Boroughs industrial market segment of the firm’s proprietary inventory tracking system, which later was successfully deployed and used in national statistics. In addition, Austin was selected as a Tri–State Chapter committee lead for the company’s Future Leaders association—an employee resource group which offers networking and industry-related events for the firm’s young working professionals. Since that time, he has fully immersed himself and gained company-wide acknowledgment. His efforts allowed him to gain further recognition and receive the 2019 Rising Star Americas Research Award. He successfully completed a mentorship program in 2022 facilitated through the company’s BUILD & WIN employee resource groups, and in 2023, he was selected as one of the company’s dedicated business partners for the brokerage-lead New York City Technology Practice Group. Additionally, in 2024, Austin received recognition among his peers and was nominated as a Top Performer in Research across the Northeast region.
Prior to joining the company, Austin was an investment sales professional, working directly with his team to generate nearly $40.0 million in aggregate sales. His experience at a boutique real estate brokerage firm allowed him to gain wide-spread knowledge in asset valuation, capital markets, market fundamentals, research, analytics, and marketing.
