Craig Waggner is a Managing Director in the Private Capital Investment Sales Group at Cushman & Wakefield. He joined the company in 2014 following its acquisition of Massey Knakal Realty Services (“MKRS”), where he had an impressive 16-year tenure as a Senior Director. Craig has received numerous accolades, including The Real Estate Board of New York’s Young Professional of the Year Award for outstanding achievements and civic leadership, The Steve Spinola Award for excellence and dedication throughout the company, and several CoStar Power Broker Awards.
Mr. Waggner possesses exceptional expertise in all facets of acquiring and disposing of investment-grade and owner-occupied real estate, along with development and redevelopment transactions for both institutional and private capital clients across various property types. He is passionate about empowering his clients to make informed decisions regarding their properties and unique needs. Craig has established a notable reputation in the Midtown and Midtown South Manhattan submarkets, recognized for his market knowledge, relationship-building skills, and commitment to diligent client service. His extensive transaction history encompasses a wide range of asset types and structures, including office, multifamily, mixed-use, retail, developable land, adaptive reuse conversions, townhouses, commercial condos/co-ops, air rights transfers, and partial interests.
Over his 22-year career, Mr. Waggner has successfully closed more than 300 transactions, totaling over $3.5 billion in aggregate value. He brings significant underwriting experience, having completed over 2,000 Broker Opinion of Value (BOVs) reports for property owners, conducting detailed analyses to determine the most effective asset disposition or financing strategies. He is an active member of several trade organizations, including the Commercial Brokerage Sales Brokers Committee at REBNY, and has held a board position with the Young Mens/Womens Real Estate Association of New York (YM/WREA) for three consecutive years, serving as Treasurer, Governor, and Education Liaison.
Before his time at Massey Knakal, Craig worked as an auditor for RGIS Inventory Specialists and gained valuable experience through summer internships in the finance department at Cushman & Wakefield.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Craig participates in charitable organizations such as the 9/11 Widows & Children’s Fund and Tunnel to Towers Foundation which are run by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Craig supports our Military & Veterans programs through C&W’s initiatives. He participates in events for the Special Olympics, including the Lincoln Tunnel 5K and Polar Bear Plunge. He’s the Head Coach of his sons Little League team and actively engages in various fundraising and volunteer activities for his church, St. Leo the Great in Lincroft, NJ.
Mr. Waggner resides in Lincroft, NJ, with his wife, Jaclyn, and their children, Ella and Zachary. His interests include spending time with family, enjoying the beach, attending live music events, traveling, skiing, golfing, playing pickleball, and staying actively involved in his children's sports activities.
