About

Eric King joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2002. As a Managing Director with the St. Paul and East Metro office services group, he actively represents both tenants and building owners. Eric’s primary focus is St. Paul’s central business district, the East Metro area and Western Wisconsin. Since joining Cushman & Wakefield, he has been involved in over 500 lease and sale transactions totaling more than 5,000,000 square feet.

Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Eric worked in the office services group at Grubb & Ellis Real Estate Company. While at Grubb & Ellis he worked with a wide variety of clients including, Qwest, Xcel Energy, Met Life, Travelers and Citicorp. Third party leasing assignments included Nationwide Insurance, REIT Management and Research, and Opus Corporation.

Prior to Grubb & Ellis, Eric owned a real estate company for 10 years that focused primarily on property tax reduction. He completed more than 1,000 cases with many prominent local companies including, Aveda, Egan Mechanical, Nordic Ware and Bermo Companies.

Community Involvement

Eric is an active member of the St. Paul Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), as well as the St. Paul BOMA Brokers Group. He is also an Advisory Board Member of the Minnesota Commercial Association of Real Estate/Realtors (MNCAR) for the past five years. He earned the 2024 Americas Achievement Award from Cushman & Wakefield and the Outstanding Knowledge for Office for 2024 from Moody’s/Catylist. Eric holds a broker license in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Education

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with concentrations in finance and accounting from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Eric was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and served as vice president of the campus’s inter-fraternity council.
