About
Gary Reed has been in real estate in some capacity since 2004. He became active in California in 2018 and Arizona in 2022, specializing in retail leasing, sales, and investments. He is currently part of a premier multi-service retail team delivering acquisition strategies for national and local retail investors, developers and occupiers. Along with Chris Hollenbeck, Brent Mallonee, and Shane Carter, he navigates clients through site acquisition, project development, leasing, and investment sales.
Gary graduated from Ithaca College with a BS in Business Administration and started his career on Wall Street with Deutsche Bank on the domestic institutional trading desk. He was later brought over the wall and transitioned to investment banking where he facilitated deals through IPOs, secondary and convertible offerings (most notably Wynn Resorts Limited Resorts and Krispy Cream Inc.).
His career has evolved to encompass multiple industries from finance to hospitality to retail services, including managing publicly traded hotel brands and the growth of a family-owned chain of hair salons in New York and California. This broad-based background gives him an in-depth understanding of organizational infrastructure and brings vital insight for companies and investors.
One of Gary’s core values is teamwork and he is quick to credit an amazing team that works together to achieve shared success. He is thankful for all those who helped him along the way. A quote by John Paul DeJoria appropriately depicts his mind set, “Success unshared is failure.”
As an active member of the commercial real estate community, Gary is proud to call both Los Angeles and Phoenix home.
