Matthew Nevinger

Research Director, Kansas City • United States

Matt Nevinger joined the DTZ Research staff in 2015 and now handles all research and reporting on the Kansas City market. Matt provides quarterly coverage of the office and industrial markets while also regularly reporting on retail, multi-family, and the investment climate in the area. The reports include data on historical vacancy, absorption, and construction as well as analysis of key factors influencing the commercial real estate market. Corporations, independent businesses, and institutional investors use the information to aid them in making decisions.

Along with the broad market materials Matt regularly produces reports on specific topics and submarkets in the area and prepares analysis on specific situations or events relating to commercial real estate. In addition to collecting data on properties in the area Matt tracks data from the Federal Reserve Bank, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics to incorporate into reporting and analysis.

Prior to joining to DTZ, Matt held multiple positions in both personal and corporate finance as well as spending several years in wholesale distribution. His background in the financial sector combined with experience modeling and forecasting sales provides him with a unique and well-qualified skill set for researching and reporting on the commercial real estate market.
