Matthew Yance is a Director of Cushman and Wakefield, Inc., working within the Valuation and Advisory Group (V&A). Mr. Yance joined Cushman and Wakefield, Inc. in June 2024, previously working at Newmark Valuation & Advisory since 2017 where Mr. Yance served as an Executive Vice President in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Yance also functioned as Newmark’s Senior Housing Lead for the Healthcare & Seniors Housing Specialty Practice. In this role, Mr. Yance was responsible for business development; the assignment, management, and delivery of appraisal and consulting services; training of appraisal professionals; and overseeing a team of appraisers focusing on the senior housing industry. 

Mr. Yance has worked with clients on a wide variety of senior housing and healthcare property types. Mr. Yance’s consulting and valuation experience include, but is not limited to site selection and feasibility studies, appraisal review services, medical office buildings, age- and/or income-restricted apartments, vacant land entitled for senior housing development, freestanding, and congregate senior housing assets, as well as rental and entrance fee continuing care retirement communities throughout the Country. Mr. Yance also has experience in litigation assignments, including the preparation of appraisals and providing expert witness testimony for property tax appeals. Mr. Yance began his career at Salus Valuation Group, Inc. in 2015, a national valuation firm specializing in senior housing and healthcare.
