About
Matthias Li is an Executive Managing Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Midtown Manhattan office where he represents many of the most prominent real estate occupiers and owners in the United States to develop and implement office leasing strategies.
Matthias’ tenant representation practice covers various business sectors including law, finance, health care, technology, and not-for-profit organizations. His past and present clients include Pfizer, Cleary Gottlieb, Paramount, Zscaler, Verizon, TPG, Shinhan Bank, Bank of Korea, Ameriprise Financial, and The Partnership to End Addiction. Notably, Matthias recently represented Pfizer in the relocation of its 800,000-sf global headquarters from East 42nd Street to Tishman Speyer’s new Hudson Yards development known as The Spiral. Matthias is also a member of the firm’s Legal Sector Advisory Group.
In his agency practice, Matthias has represented numerous real estate owners in the lease-up of their assets including Vornado, Brookfield Properties, SL Green, Beacon Capital, Taconic Partners, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Rockrose, and the L+M Development Partners.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Matthias practiced real estate law in New York City representing landlords and tenants in a broad range of legal matters including litigation, building operations, leasing, bankruptcy, and construction disputes. Matthias was an attorney in the Real Estate Operations Group at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where he represented owners such as Tishman Speyer, MetLife, and Brookfield Properties.
He is a licensed NY real estate salesperson and licensed to practice law in the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York as well as the State Courts of New York.
