Rich Thomas is a Managing Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Baltimore, Maryland office with over 20 years of industry experience. Rich possesses an unparalleled understanding of complex real estate transactions and has led some of the region’s most significant assignments over the past two decades. Mr. Thomas provides tenant representation and occupier services to companies locally and around the globe. He also provides agency leasing services for some of the highest profile developments in the Baltimore-Washington market. His experience in the industry allows him to advise his clients in every aspect of commercial real estate including leasing, portfolio strategy, investment sales, financial analysis, construction and management.
Since 2006, Mr. Thomas has closed more than 2,000 transactions totaling more than 50 million square feet with an aggregate value of over $2 billion. He has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Baltimore Business Journal Deal of the Year Award on multiple occasions, BBJ “40 under 40”, NAIOP Deal of The Year, CoStar Power Broker annually and the Cushman & Wakefield Rising Star Award. Mr. Thomas is a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Advisory Group (TAG), Agency Leasing Practice Group (ALPG), Legal Sector Advisory Group (LSAG) and holds his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation held by only five percent of commercial real estate professionals in the United States.
Mr. Thomas is very involved in his local community volunteering his time with the Special Olympics, Maryland Food Bank, National Multiple Sclerosis Society and serving on the advisory board of the Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School. He enjoys traveling, the outdoors, live music and sports of all kinds (especially coaching his daughters). Rich currently resides in Baltimore County with his wife and two young daughters.
