Tracy Law, MAI joined Cushman & Wakefield Western, Inc. in Dallas in July 2024. Ms. Law is currently an Executive Director for the Dispute Analysis & Litigation Support practice (“DALS”) with the Valuation & Advisory group. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Ms. Law was with BBG, Inc. from 2019-2024, where she was a Senior Reviewer and Litigation Specialist in their Dallas headquarters office. The balance of her 40-year career was spent working with Integra Realty Resources, Henry S. Miller Consulting, Laventhol & Horwath, and Bill C. Dotson & Associates/Alliance Appraisal, as a partner in Butler Burgher Law, LLC and Eminent Domain Valuation Group, LLC, and as sole owner of Law Realty Advisors.
Ms. Law has been a commercial real estate professional in appraisal, valuation, and consulting since 1985. Her valuation and consulting assignments have included a wide variety of property types, broadly including land, industrial, office, retail, hotel, multifamily, and mixed-use and special-purpose properties. Clients include financial institutions; federal, state, county and local agencies and governmental entities; developers; law firms; investment firms; insurance companies; engineering firms; and individuals, among others. She has specialized knowledge and experience in valuation and consulting services for right-of-way projects (airports, roadways, pipelines, powerlines, utilities, railroad corridors, and federal rails-to-trails) and specialized studies such as for alignment, project impact, highest and best use, catastrophic flooding, and other damages issues.
Ms. Law has provided litigation support services and has been qualified as a real estate expert in federal, district, state, county, and local courts. Legal matters for which she has provided valuation and/or expert services include complex real estate disputes involving right of way projects/eminent domain/condemnation, damages, title issues, contractual disputes, bankruptcy, income tax, property tax, construction defects, stigma, and other specialized matters.
