Cushman & Wakefield continue to grow its capital markets team in Brisbane in response to continuing demand from institutional and private investors in a range of commercial property asset classes

According to Cushman & Wakefield research, investment into Brisbane commercial property during the third quarter continued to strengthen, rising 35% to $4.1bn. This was driven by $1.9bn in investment into the office sector reflecting more than 100% increase over the June quarter.

Commenting on the appointment, James Quigley, said: “I am pleased to welcome Simone to the capital markets team as Cushman & Wakefield continue to strengthen its platform in Australia and globally. Simone maintains a deep knowledge of the Brisbane markets and opportunities for investors, and will be a valuable addition as we grow our east coast capital markets presence, and agency presence in Queensland.

“Cushman & Wakefield continues to see increasing investment activity in Queensland amongst REITs and unlisted funds, investing $540m and $1.8bn respectively in Q3. With this level of investment activity, we look forward to leveraging Simone’s portfolio manager background, insight from an owners’ perspective of investment strategy, and knowledge of key investment attributes of individual assets.” he said.
