Over the last several months, Cushman & Wakefield’s PDS design & build team have provided pro-bono project management advice to Gidget Foundation Australia, based in North Sydney. Gidget Foundation is a not for profit-based organisation that provides Perinatal mental health support to families suffering anxiety and depression. In line with our commitment to local communications and corporate social responsibility, the Design & Build team is proud to provide support towards the foundation.
The project involves internally refitting the freestanding heritage dwelling, to enhance the occupancy to suit the operational needs of Gidget Foundation. The upper-floor was previously inhabited by a residential tenant but has now been amalgamated with the lower-floor to provide a safe and warm home-style environment for the front of house staff. The rear of the dwelling provides a back-of-house space to support the team to complete operational activities. The renovation has allowed the Gidget Foundation to double it’s clinical capacity onsite, too.
Having now progressed beyond the DA/design/preconstruction activity, the team have broken ground and construction has commenced. The Cushman & Wakefield team is excited to deliver a wonderful new workspace for the Gidget Foundation to continue their work, within the next 6 weeks.
