The Cushman & Wakefield team has partnered with client Australia Post to secure 8 new temporary sites.
Following a rapid increase in demand for parcel distribution, Australia post required the additional space to support this sudden and unplanned boom in parcel delivery operations.
The Cushman & Wakefield team worked with Australia Post to assess the appropriate and temporarily available sites, focusing on locations that would enable synergies with the existing parcel distribution network. Our team worked with the client in partnership to perform site assessments and lease negotiation involving multiple landlords, and then completed the associated documentation and administration, including vendor set-up, all performed in a compressed timeline
Each of the required sites was on-boarded in a timely manner and involved the coordination of portfolio management and facilities management teams across five states in Australia.
The acquisition of the extra facilities has featured prominently in Australia Post’s national advertising in respect of its response to COVID-19.
