Cushman & Wakefield Supports the Victorian Pride Centre

Michael Di Carlo • 05/08/2020

The soon-to-open Victorian Pride Centre will celebrate Victoria’s diverse LGBTIQ community, paving new directions for its future and honouring its brave, and at times, difficult past.

It will provide an uplifting expression of welcome, engagement and belonging and house major LGBTIQ organisations such as Joy 94.9, Australian Lesbian & Gay Archives (ALGA), Melbourne Queer Film Festival, Switchboard Victoria, Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council, Minus 18, Transgender Victoria, Star Health, and Thorne Harbour Health.

The centre will also provide flexible and multi-use spaces, a health service, training room, meeting rooms, a reflection room, café/bar, theatrette and gallery for use by smaller groups, whilst also supporting LGBTIQ groups and organisations to share ideas and resources and to further their work in supporting equality, diversity and inclusion across the state.

The building is due to open in late 2020.

Alexia Gatti and Michael Di Carlo from Cushman & Wakefield have continued to provide strategic advice and consultation on commercial and retail leasing agreements for the centre throughout 2019/2020.

This service and advice has played a vital role in the success of filling the 6,000 sqm building with signed leasing agreements by the tenants in the building and, in turn, played a vital role in the centre’s ability to function into the future.  Due to this Cushman & Wakefield is listed to be a major partner at the Victorian Pride Centre.
