Cushman & Wakefield is committed to applying a broad lens to diversity and inclusion both inside and outside the walls of our business, for people of all ages and abilities. As part of this commitment, we have now sponsored the Play It Forward initiative created by Play For All Australia.
The Play It Forward initiative strives to make the act of play, accessible to people of all abilities. To do so, the team is partnering with local government councils and socially minded businesses such as Cushman & Wakefield, to design and install inclusive swing sets that all children can use, regardless of ability.
This playful approach to inclusion enhances the livelihood and wellbeing of children, who might not otherwise be able participate and belong. Click here to view a short video that highlights the origins and inspiration of the initiative.
As Vivid Sydney’s exclusive Access & Inclusion partner and the creator of inclusive playground, Tumbalong Lights, Cushman & Wakefield has not hesitated to support the Play it Forward program, following the sponsorship of two accessible swings located at Harry Shelly Memorial Reserve in Hunters Hill.
Head of Business Development Services APAC, and proud diversity and inclusion ambassador Anna Town said: “Play for All Australia is taking another step in the ambition to enable all children to play, participate and belong in their local community no matter what their level of ability. We believe wholeheartedly in reducing social isolation and exclusion for children with a disability and play is a wonderful way to bring the whole community together.”
