Commercial real estate in Australia continues to be in high demand from Global investors, as Australia's stable political environment, strong economic fundamentals and AAA credit rating make it an attractive destination for foreign capital.
In light of this, Cushman & Wakefield continues to strengthen its Asia Pacific presence with the internal cross border promotion of Mark Hansen as International Director, Capital Markets/ Investment Sales, relocating from Sydney to Singapore.
With over 15 years’ experience in the Australian capital markets sector, Mark has directly been involved in and co-brokered some of the largest office assets across the Pacific including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Auckland and Wellington.
According to Mr Hansen, “Investors are attracted to Australian and New Zealand commercial property for its potential for strong rental growth and capital appreciation. The country's diverse economy provides a buffer against global economic uncertainty.
“Outside of being a strong performing market, the transparency, ease of doing business and similar time zone makes doing business in the Pacific very straight forward from Singapore“ he said.
Simon Fenn, Cushman & Wakefield’s Managing Director Australia and New Zealand said, “A lot of global players continue to set up Asia Pacific Head Quarters, deploying capital via Singapore in search of Australian commercial assets, and Mark will be a valued asset on the ground with his strong network and expertise in this sector.”
