Transport House (11-17 York Street) was completed in 1973 whilst Railway House (19-31 York Street) was completed in 1935 for the Department of Railways and was combined with the adjoining Transport House in 1973. Railway house received the Sulman Award for Architecture Merit and the RIBA Architecture Medal in 1936. Recent refurbishment of the main lobby and new end of trip facilities also completed. On floor bathrooms and lift lobby upgrades completed 2021.
