Jialong Cheng joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1993. His professional experience in real estate management in South and West China includes market research and consultancy, valuation, residential and business estate agency, retail and commercial agency, and large-scale project management.

Cheng has been involved in providing first-class office space solutions for global companies such as IBM, Maersk, Philips and Epson. His management tasks have covered renowned buildings such as the Diwang Commercial Building and the new China Resources Building. Cheng has been closely involved in assisting the expansion of retail brands including KFC, Louis Vuitton, and Pizza Hut in Shenzhen. Additional project work includes commercial rental space in the MixC Shenzhen and Poly Cultural Centre. Under his lead, the residential team has successfully completed projects including Shumyip New Coast Shenzhen and Tianjian Fashion Space Shenzhen. He has also worked closely with local government representatives on exclusive contracts and high-profile projects such as the Luohu and Gang Xia Old Town Regeneration project and the Sun Gang Qing Shui River District Logistics Commercial Modernization project. Other notable projects include the commercial viability study of the Xia Sha area in Longgang District, and a three-city (Qingdao, Guiyang, Shenzhen) land resources evaluation.

Cheng serves as vice-chairman of the Guangdong Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and Agents and is a member of the Shenzhen Planning Commission, among other external roles. In October 2010, he became one of the first batch of professionals to receive the Senior Member (Valuation) qualification of the China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and Agents (CIREA).
