K.K. Chiu is Chief Executive of Greater China at Cushman & Wakefield with over 37 years’ experience in the real estate industry, advising clients of the best solutions across the entire real estate life cycle. Over the past 28 years, K.K. has been a core leader in the company’s Greater China business space. He was the Head of Valuation & Advisory, Asia Pacific, providing strategic advice to clients in support of accounting and public listings, real estate planning, development, and business valuation for numerous corporate operations. Prior to joining the company (formerly known as DTZ) in 1993, K.K. worked in another international consultancy firm for 9 years, where he was a Director of the Valuation department.
Staying actively involved in the affairs of his profession, K.K. is the representative of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) at the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) and is a member of the Working Group of the Advisory Forum. Between 2005 and 2009, he was a Board Member of IVSC.
He is currently the Senior Vice-President (2020-2021) and former Chairman of the General Practice Division of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (2015-2017 / 2017-2019), and also a General Council Member of both the HKIS and the China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He is a member of the Working Group for Valuation Standards of the HKIS and was the Chairman of the Board of Membership between 1999 and 2005. In the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), K.K. served as a member of Asia Valuation Board between 2010 and 2016 and is currently the non-executive member of the Asia Pacific World Regional Board.
Appointed by the Government of Hong Kong SAR, K.K. is a member of the Land and Development Advisory Committee (LDAC) under the Development Bureau, which advises the Government on policies and procedures in relation to planning, land and building matters. He is also the Chairman of the Surveyors Registration Board under the Surveyors Registration Ordinance, Panel Member of the Private Columbaria Appeal Board under the Private Columbaria Ordinance, and Member of the Board of Review under the Inland Revenue Ordinance.
