Locations that meet certain environmental and social sustainability criteria will become the norm and it is in the interest of all parties to collaborate and share methodologies, data and strategies on how to maintain efficient and sustainable behavior.

For this reason Cushman & Wakefield Italia launches the new "S.T.E.P." (Sustainable Tenant Engagement Program): a program that is developed in four points to bring landlords and tenants closer together and accompany them in adopting a common strategy. S.T.E.P. acknowledges the sustainability objectives of tenants and properties, identifies and facilitates the implementation of common initiatives, and can support voluntary reporting activities (such as the GRESB - Global ESG Benchmark for Real Assets), also promoting engagement and tenant satisfaction.

In addition to an action plan and guidelines on day by day management, the program includes a series of meetings with investors and occupiers also aimed at sharing updated reports on consumption and initiatives.
The S.T.E.P. it also provides a calendar of events in line with the most important annual sustainability events and can be further enriched thanks to the support of the community manager.

"S.T.E.P. puts the knowledge of property managers and sustainability professionals at the service of owners and tenants to facilitate dialogue between all those involved in the life of the property - with the ultimate aim of improving the environmental impact of the assets "- says Francesca Altamura, Sustainability Lead by Cushman & Wakefield.

Giovanni Grifa, Head of Asset Services Office and Logistics Italy, comments: "This new service stems from the need to give substance to the ESG issue in the management of our properties, trying to combine the needs of owners and tenants who until now have often traveled on parallel tracks. We want to play a proactive role by involving owners and tenants in concrete initiatives, also giving importance to the "social" component.
